Inclusive Research & Design with Unique Humans

We connect organisations with lived experience to shape products, services, and systems that work for more people.

What We Do.

Comprehensive inclusive design services that center lived experience and deliver practical, decision-ready insights.

Inclusive Research

Surveys, interviews, and community panels that centre lived experience and deliver practical, decision-ready insights. We go beyond traditional research methods to capture authentic voices and real-world perspectives that drive meaningful change.

Co-design & Testing

Usability tests, prototype reviews, and mystery shopping to find friction fast and improve real-world journeys. Our collaborative approach ensures solutions are tested with the people who will actually use them.

Experience Assessments

Evidence-based reviews of digital and physical experiences with prioritised recommendations that lift inclusion without the guesswork. Get clear, actionable roadmaps for improving experiences across all touchpoints.

Strategy & Capability

Playbooks, training, and roadmaps that embed inclusive practices across teams and suppliers. Build internal capacity for sustainable, long-term inclusive design implementation.

How We Work.

No jargon. No endless decks. Just straight talk and smart questions.

Connect – Let’s talk about what’s really going on and what you want to learn.

Brief – We’ll help you sharpen the question, and ask the ones you’ve been too afraid to.

Scope – Together we build a plan that works for your goals, budget, and timeline.

Run – We get out there, listen deeply, and bring back the truth, and not just the polite version.

Deliver – Real insights. Clear actions. Measurable impact.

Our Core Principles are: Respect, Fairness, and Access

We honor intersectionality. We recognise that overlapping identities shape distinct experiences and we reward our members for their time and expertise. Every project is grounded in respect, authenticity, and meaningful compensation for community contributors.

Ethics

We centre the safety of Unique Humans in every project. Sensitive topics are welcome. We design for physical and psychological safety and will walk you through how we protect everyone involved in our project, including you and your team.

Incentive payments

We recommend fair, on-time incentives and set minimums per activity. Rates reflect time, effort, and any added complexity related to the individual and the topics covered.

Privacy & personal information

We only ask what we need. Disability and sensitive medical, identity, and personal human-related data is handled under strict privacy rules; insights are aggregated and anonymised, and any potentially identifying combinations are removed.

Accessibility & facilitation

Participation should be equal. We offer accessible formats and added facilitation where needed. It’s more labour-intensive than traditional research and is something we won’t compromise, because it lifts quality and trust.

Why it matters

Our work doesn’t sit on a shelf. Insights from Unique Humans drive real changes in products, services, and systems.
