Who Can Join?

We currently work with adults living in Australia.

If your experiences are often missed or misunderstood, you're welcome here.

Human Uniqueness includes (and isn't limited to) disability, neurodivergence, culture and language, race, gender and sexuality, body size, age, income and class, migration, regional or remote living, caregiving, and other lived realities that shape how you use products and services.

Current Focus Groups.

Disability

People with lived experience of disability or long-term health conditions. Share what helps, and what accessibility challenges get in your way.

Neurodivergent

Autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, dyspraxic and other neurodivergent people, your sensory needs and different ways of thinking are welcome.

LGBTIQA+

All of our rainbow people and families, share what works, what doesn't, and what feels safer and more inclusive.

Family & Carers

Parents, guardians, partners and support workers, share the realities of caring and navigating systems together.

What You'll Do

Take part in research that's built around real life. Join in the ways that suit you — online, by phone, or out in the world.

Online Surveys

Quick to join, easy to complete. Share your views through accessible online surveys designed for phones, screen readers, and real life.

Research Interviews

Have a conversation that counts. Talk with our team (usually one or two people) about your lived experiences and what matters most to you.

Experience Testing

Try out websites, apps, or physical products and tell us what works — and what doesn't. You'll shape how things are built, designed, and improved.

Mystery Shopping

Check out stores, websites, or customer service and report back on how it went. Spot barriers, share wins, and help make everyday experiences better.

What You'll Get!

When you join, you'll be invited to take part in research that fits your experiences. We'll tell you what's involved upfront, so you can decide if it's right for you.

Rewarded for your time

Your insights are valuable and you'll be fairly rewarded for activities like surveys, interviews, and testing.

Real influence

What you share helps shape how products, services, and systems are designed, delivered, and improved.

Flexible involvement

Take part in ways that work for you. Online, by phone, or in person, depending on the project.

Respect

You'll be treated with care and integrity. No extractive research. No tokenism. Just thoughtful, human conversations.
